Good science reporting here - rather than hysterics or speculation, or adding "color" from random folks, they just talk to an expert and explain things in detail.
Assuming the human race can cooperate on the possible impact, we should do our best to nudge it into a different orbit, and prepare to evacuate people in the path if the chances of impact keep rising. Given the number of countries potentially affected and the state of the world I doubt anything will happen, other than worrying and maybe giving SpaceX more money to make some new debris fields in the ocean.

They should be able to land nuclear weapons on it if necessary.
