OP, when posting an old article it's a good idea to put (2015) in the title. That tells readers straight away that the article is going to be either way ahead of its time or drastically, absurdly wrong, and that we'll (ideally) learn something by comparing the historic perspective with the subsequent ground truth.
I did read the article, liked it, and said nothing to suggest it's dated (perhaps you missed the words 'ahead of its time'). Putting the year of publication in the title for articles published before the current year is a long-standing convention at HN.
