I totally agree with you. Product Hunt was once the place to launch, but let's face it, these days you launch on it but you can't expect much. There's too much competition and the competition is not fair.
I received so many messages to ask me if I'd be happy to buy upvotes, so of course I don't, and most of the time, you can't reach the top 10.
It's very nice to see alternatives to PH, good job!
I'll be totally transparent with my opinion: I think PH is still a great place to launch, and you should use it!
However, you shouldn't have high expectations because as you said, there's too much competition and it isn't fair
