Isn't it a little strange 3 European countries have been pushing this through within 3 weeks of each other?
This is just my old man yelling at clouds opinion based on fringe news sites I keep an eye on but I believe this is expected prior to a war going kinetic which I believe the EU and others are preparing for. I would expect things like this to become more frequent and much worse to occur that people may not believe even when they see it.
Security of computer systems does not exist. This law is just a decoy to trick criminals into thinking those "apps" are "secured".
The UK government response: "Challenge accepted!"
TBH, I think the only solution to these tyrants backing down is having them face political consequences.

Whenever someone makes a call, a post or sends a message, attach a warning to it:

"In compliance with act xxx, voted in favor by these politicians [link], this message has been made available to your government for review."

I just don't see how this doesn't get exploited and result in a huge hack with a few billions in losses. The ransomware threat is extremely huge.

> The so-called “Narcotrafic” law attacks the protection of encrypted couriers (such as Signal or WhatsApp) by imposing the installation of backdoors for the police and intelligence.

> The text provides for the police to remotely activate the microphones and cameras of fixed and mobile connected devices (computers, telephones, etc.) to spy on people.

That's crazy! What is happening in Europe??
