It doesn't seem too surprising: The products were already of questionable quality-per-dollar, and most of the goodwill that overcame that was from a bloc of consumers the CEO is busy actively alienating.
At the same time, the broken yearly promises of "self-driving next year" or things like "your car will appreciate since you'll be able to rent it out as a robotaxi" etc. might--finally--be coming home to roost. Or maybe not, but it's more a question of when than if.
