Ask HN: What makes a good ideas person?

Maybe the question would be more interesting in the opposite, what makes a bad ideas person, but I'm definitely more of an execution person. There's obviously something funny about this wording but: I care much more about how we're going to do something then what we're going to do. I care much more about seeing a project get completed than having a bunch of ideas for things. And anytime I hear a person self-identify as an ideas person, I'm always suss.

So self-identified ideas people(or people who value them): What do I not know about your contributions? How do I tell the difference between a good ideas person or a bad ideas person?
