This would be a danger point for other countries looking to buy more advanced US arms.
I don't know what rational country isn't rethinking their orders, even if they want to stay on the good side of the US.
It would be really funny if they contracted Rafael or IAI for an avionics refit and put them into service under a new designation. All's fair in war and open-architecture...?
Speaking of the UK and Italy, it is unlikely that they will give up on the F-35 at this point, given the huge investment they have already made on it. Much more likely that they will try to limit the use of US components on the future GCAP as much as possible.
