Hi HN,

I've built an automatic sound device changer for macOS which remembers your input/output selection according to your selection.

It will be useful for musicians, multi input/output sound device users who want to manage input/output for all applications in a centralized way, preferred OS device.

You don't even have to use the app UI!

It's a paid app currently and only available on the App Store.

Interesting! How did you go about keeping this working in a sandboxed app? I know Rogue Amoeba had some issues with that up until lately: https://weblog.rogueamoeba.com/2024/12/13/the-developers-who...

At the beginning of the development, it required some permission, like sound input. But later, I've removed all permissions(I think this is the reason) that I only use device list information, no need to get recording from the mic and here is the app.

Tested on 3 different MacBooks, no issues at all.
