Show HN: I made an AI language learning tool for intermediate and above learners (lezan.xyz)

So I made Lezan for myself. Whenever I was watching anime or reading manga and saw an interesting word/phrase in Japanese, I wanted something to not just translate the phrase/word but also help me practice it and see a description and examples of it.

It works by providing it a phrase/word, and then it will generate some flashcards and then afterward it will generate a quiz for you just like Duolingo.

It uses gpt-4o-mini for now, but I'm considering using 4o if I see ppl are liking it.

I would really appreciate any feedback.

Hey, I'm the op.

I posted about Lezan on Reddit but did not get much feedback, so I hoped I get more feedback here.

Maybe because you have a auth wall without a real description of what this does on the site?
yes i will remove it but then i have to add captcha so it takes some time. i will do it tomorrow.

i temporarily added a input draft in localstoarage to not be so irritating

Thanks again, I made some new quick adjustments by providing a dialog when user is not signed in and clicks on the input.
Stopped by the auth wall.

Interested to try, but do not want to sign up first

How am I supposed to fix this? Every app has auth

And I use chatgpt api and it costs money.

Sure if it was free I'd be willing to do it one hundred without auth

I will try to disable auth by captcha
