The fact that people are still talking about the “notch” all these years later still boggles my mind. They didn’t put a notch in the screen for the camera, they added screen to the left and right of the camera.
you are holding it wrong
Yeah seriously. If people hate the notch so much you can change the resolution(2056x1285) to an aspect ratio that removes the notch at the sacrifice of a tiny amount of screen space, it is such a non-issue at this point.
Yet many Android phones had the "notch" the same generation as Apple did, and it was smaller; Android phones also quickly eliminated the notch and went to a small hole, and now phones have hidden cameras entirely.

Apple needs to compete, and people need to quit treating them like they're some sort of company to emulate. They're a trillion dollar company that evades taxes and pushes mediocre hardware at high prices coupled with bad user experiences, they don't need people on HN white knighting for them.

M4 MacBook Air fixed the pricing, memory and webcam. Arguably offering the best value for money in Mac's history.

If there are other nitpick would be Keyboard still sucks and no WiFi 7.

Which makes me think next year's M5 MBA it will cost $1099 and comes with WiFi 7.

I hope I am wrong and sticks to $999

From The Verge's benchmarks, looks like the 256GB is slower, like on previous units (except M1?)
