I no longer enjoy using GoodReads so started my own spread sheet of books 10 years ago. That grew into my "open" book review blog that is 99% my personal book database that I just recently put online but decided to open it up and let anyone post.
Thank you so much! Exactly, it started as just a spreadsheet for years, GoodReads used to be fun to use but feels restricting nowadays.
Originally I made a "Reddit-like" site but just for books. Each post was a book then people just voted up or down. Unlike Reddit the vote rank would be static so over time the site would build a "best of" list for each sub-category/genre based on user votes. Then transitioned that site into my blog after it failed to take off.

[ 2.7 ms ] story [ 19.6 ms ] threadI'm working on a little TBR tracking app, along with some logging to replace my spreadsheet. I had fun checking this out.
What is the idea with votes?
