LLMs are effectively DDoSing the internet at this point. SourceHut has been forced to block entire cloud providers just to keep their site running. AI companies are consuming enormous bandwidth and server resources without contributing back, ignoring robots.txt and copyright concerns. They're scraping the entire web while making parts of it increasingly difficult for real humans to use. We're all paying for their "innovations" through degraded services and increased infrastructure costs, all to fuel the AI hype cycle.
