This is cool et al, but I suggest taking a look at Kagi's views on Russo-Ukrainian war, so this does not come as a surprise, if it does not align with your perspective. [1].
I didn't see anything there expressing Kagi's view on Russia's invasion of Ukraine, though. It's about Kagi's reasoning for continuing to use Yandex as one of their sources.
It's entirely reasonable to avoid Kagi because they continue to use Yandex, of course.
I think you are better served by superior search results than actually include information that may be highly relevant to a invading foreign power than by denying whatever nominal income is being paid to yandex.
If there is information available in yandex that can be a benefit to Ukraine (and there undoubtedly is) then this is a better outcome than pretending yandex doesn't exist.
Personally, I want to know that kagi will bring me information from the entire world, regardless of geopolitical conflicts. Thats what I pay them for. If they were to start censoring results to appease and/or punish any particular government I would be very concerned and disappointed.

I switched one day when I realized that I couldn't bear anymore Google results that were full of advertisements.
But, I just noticed something crazy:
- I did try the same search as the one that is listed in the article "best headphones for running" in Google.com
Strangely, with my main chrome browser, connected to my google account, there was no advertisement or top banner with products at all for this search.
But, doing a slight variation, like "best headphones for jumping" or "best headphones for walking", then I would have a top banner with some products, kind of discrete advertisement.
But what is crazy, is that if I open a Private browsing session in chrome, or even just my chromium with my same google account connected (not using kagi), doing any of those searches, will lead to the result with a big "advertisement" top banner, where you see some products with price on different merchant accounts like amazon. And including for the search "best headphones for running"!
