Scam pulled off in Indian hackathon, won $85k just by rebranding Brave Browser (twitter.com)

What I found the most funny is the official executable to be downloaded from the official website that is named:

ping_installer (1).exe

You clearly know that someone downloaded a file (having already a copy) and just uploaded that directly to the official website.

One of the more risible parts of this fiasco is that they publicly cloned Brave, then publicly committed all the changes they made. Here's a commit stripping the Brave logo from some poster and changing the color template.
