Show HN: Learn to Code Without English (French, Dutch, German and More)

2 points by rayanelmorabet ↗ HN
95% of coding resources are in English. But 75% of the world doesn’t speak it fluently. That’s a massive barrier for millions of people who want to learn to code.

So we built FIKR: coding courses taught natively in English, French, Dutch and German (more languages coming soon).

Sure, you can find a random YouTube tutorial in French. But piecing together a structured, high-quality learning path? Very difficult. Most stop at the basics.

We built FIKR to prove you don’t need English to build software.

If you spot any overused clichés (like too many baguettes in our French lessons or a missing Munich stop in our Berlin subway example), let us know. We’ll fix it and shout you out in the lesson updates.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!

Why, tho? I'm european and english in IT is a godsend. It's the single most important reason why remote work with teams all over the world works. Not to mention the vast amounts of documentation that you miss out on if sticking to your own language. There's a place for national identity and language preserving, but coding isn't one of them, IMO.
