Is it really reciprocal when you started it?
It's "discounted" xD I think a lot of Americans don't fully realize what they're getting into. He thinks he can bully the world without consequence ? Oh boy he's so wrong ...
I think most Americans actually do realize what’s happening—the real issue is that there’s a significant enough minority who don’t, and that’s precisely enough to get someone like Trump elected.
Most Americans have some vague idea of what is happening. But egg prices are down, so don't count on them feeling bad about the tariff news.
I hate how journals each time buy right wing double speak.
What do you mean? I think when they say reciprocal it means tit for tat
I think the problem is that it's not actually reciprocal. The numbers in the first column appear to be inaccurate and misleading. For example, The South Korean average tariff rate on imports from the U.S. is approximately 0.79% [1] [1] https://www.korea.net/Government/Briefing-Room/Press-Release...
It's wild, but the numbers they showed as tarrifs are calculated in the following way: US trade deficit with a country / country's export to US. This is computed only on goods, excluding services.
I mean that Trump started the tariff war. He doesn't understand them, or is knowingly lying about them, and waves them around like some magic wand. Those figures are terribly incorrect and misleading, which is par the course for Trump, MAGA, and right-wing media. Truth does not matter, only what people can be convinced to believe
