Confusing title. "He pushed lives off cliff? So, he ruined lives, or what? Why did he have to do all that to testify?", I thought. It could use an extra comma before the verb.

based on a real-life incident where people unsuccessfully tried several murder methods simultaneously on a victim but nobody believed the victim's account because the victim was a known medicaid fraudster.

This can't really be the most interesting thing to comment on this story.

But since we're here, I have a hard time seeing this as being confusing. Who is pushing "lives" off cliffs?

This is a scary story, similar to a violent action movie and reminiscent of the mafia era.
Wonder what percent of illegals are criminals (other than being illegals). My guess is 10 percent (but no idea Trump probably thinks 80 percent) and is why most people in California consider illegal immigration as acceptable.
