Tracks.by is fixing the music industry. We are bringing fans and artists together in a more meaningful way + bringing celebrity endorsements online so that artists can better monetize their fame (as opposed to charging for music!). This is a $50B industry.

We work with 52 of the Billboard Hot 100 artists AND every major record label and artist management company. We have done all of Lil Wayne’s digital for the past three years - growing him from 1-40 million likes on Facebook.

We recently launched our destination, http://hipset.com, to give fans an easier way to connect and keep up with the artists they like (it is a personalized music magazine). The response has been incredible. So incredible that our users are BANGING DOWN OUR DOORS demanding a mobile version. We need a mobile engineer!

We are looking for:

Mobile Engineer

• Experience building mobile applications that run on multiple platforms using web protocols.

• Performance is a must. Slow mobile applications frustrate users.

• Willing to lead our mobile effort.

• Mobile usability experience.

Backend Engineer

• Develop on a rapidly evolving stack supporting clients with millions of subscribers.

• Obsessed about latency optimization, query speed and runtime performance.

• Building versioned de-coupled services used by web application layer and browsers.

• Our stack is Node.JS, but experience with similar technologies is fine.

• Experience with MongoDB, Redis, Riak, or Postgres.

• AWS, Heroku, DNS, and horizontal scaling techniques.

• Heroku buildpacks, Opscode Chef.

• General *nix knowledge -- Comfortable logging into production instances to analyze problems.

• Experience writing unit tests.

• Plus if experience with aggregating social media APIs.

Frontend Engineer

• HTML / LESS / JS

• Experience with Backbone.JS and implementing JS SDKs.

• Experience working with teams of designers and backend engineers.

• Knack for discovering useful open source modules.

• Understanding of usability and design principles.

• Plus if experience developing mobile apps using web technologies.
