It's happening... When humanoid robots make it into our daily life, we are going to have to work out a whole new set of social norms.
I suspect the "dumbest" of these humanoids will initially be subject to bullying and abuse, like how a throng of people set ablaze that waymo car in SFO. Eventually, these humanoids displaying feelings and empathy might actually be part of a defense and broader trajectory of embrace and acceptance.
