Hi HN,

I’m one of the co-founders of MathForge++, an open-access platform that combines version-controlled math/physics proofs, on-chain contributor attribution, and CAD-to-fabrication integration.

⸻

What it does • Collaboratively write and version LaTeX-based proofs, with git-style history • On-chain smart contracts automatically record accepted contributions for immutable IP provenance • Upload CAD models linked to proofs, with an upcoming API to connect to fabrication partners

⸻

Why it matters • Papers and designs today live in separate silos—contributors often lose recognition and IP • arXiv is great for sharing papers but doesn’t support versioning, attribution, or hardware pipelines • MathForge++ brings transparency, remixability, and real-world impact to scholarly work

⸻

Tech stack and implementation • Frontend: React + Tailwind, real-time LaTeX editor • Backend: Node.js + MongoDB, with Git-like version control • Blockchain: Ethereum-compatible smart contracts for attribution and optional token rewards • CAD support: Embedded viewer + CAD file uploads; fabrication API in development

⸻

Current status and roadmap • MVP live with proof versioning, PRs, and on-chain attribution • Next: token/reputation layer, volunteer + AI moderation, CAD support • Later: connect fabrication partners for real-world prototyping

⸻

Why now Open science and blockchain provenance are maturing, and the maker/hardware movement is growing. Yet no platform connects proof, attribution, and physical build in one place. We see an opportunity to evolve how math, physics, and innovation get shared and built.

⸻

Anyone interestd in collab?

C
