Did they really have much of a moat to begin with?
Only a well-oiled FUD machine that goes into top gear whenever they feel threatened.

Their superpower is bullshitting people into thinking that only their platform can satisfy the rules of evidence that relate to document signatures.

Well, happy Streisand effect to you, DocuSign!
Not sure they care. Why would they?
It seems to be making more of their customers aware of a free alternative. Plenty of the Twitter replies seem to be in people exploring dumping their extremely expensive docusign subscription to use this alternative.

Loss of customers seems like something they'd definitely care about

"Examples of such false and misleading statements are set forth in Exhibit 1"

Is that attachment/exhibit linked anywhere?

As far as I can tell we get part of the email and nothing outlining the supposed issues.

Did they contact the developer or their website host or registrar?
Triggering a cease and desist by a major corporation seems like a good marketing strategy, as I keep hearing about this Docusign alternative from earned media over their behaviour.
