Ancient trees are dying faster than expected in Eastern Oregon (phys.org)

I wonder if under-regulated pesticide and herbicide use is slowly contaminating these areas, as the water that occasionally makes its way to these areas becomes more contaminated by man made chemicals. I know it’s only more recently being discovered that these things are causing diseases in humans. Not a far stretch to say it also affects plants and other animals in ways we can’t predict.
