> Uber has signed a multibillion-dollar deal to buy its first robotaxi fleet from Lucid, which will see the Californian electric-vehicle maker partner with self-driving start-up Nuro and receive an injection of fresh capital.

> Customised versions of Lucid’s Gravity SUV, using technology from Nuro, will be rolled out over a six-year period, starting in an unannounced big US city next year.

This is an investment by Uber in Lucid, and as a side-effect they are purchasing "at least 20,000" vehicles from Lucid.

Interesting bit is if Lucid is a robotaxi already, then what is the technology that Nuro is providing? Best reading is Lucid's car is a platform, but doesnt have any intelligence itself (OEM) and Nuro is the operating system.
