Developing the IDE of the future for for the knowledge worker perhaps? Amazon Kiro seems a step in that direction as merge tool between Product Managers and their Engineering teams.

Bulleted lists literally do not work in Microsoft word so… good
Of course they are, because the AGI future that's juuust behind the corner (if you give Sama a couple of $$$trillion that will go poof) is all about an office suite and spreadsheets. Can't wait till they invent a calendar/agenda maker! /s

OpenAI: The future is boring

No one wanted to build on OpenAI, so now they'll build it themselves!
Why not just build a plugin?
In meantime: Microsoft kills Windsurf acquisition. Competing with your own customers does not end well, AI or not.
This seems like a weird detour on the way to replacing all office jobs. Unless I guess they’ll be using it as training data?
The death spiral begins as OpenAI frantically scrambles for a business model.
They cannot think of an easier way to get lots of user-interaction data.
