Given recent talks about payment provider neutrality or the lack of it, the initiative to create a digital payment system backed by central bank money seems more relevant than ever.
Feels a bit wrong to compete with the already existing banking infrastructure.

Edit: My point is that that infrastructure already exists, why build it again instead of regulating it better?

If you don't like car centric cities, the solution best solution might not be to build a metro but to start reserving lanes for busses.

It would be cool if they adopted GNU Taler.
