For how meticulously the App Store is curated, it's amazing so many developers misuse the UDID's to the point that a good amount of information can be found on any one person by using their UDID and comparing to UDID's stored by developers.
And I have to join The Mactivist in asking, just what was the FBI doing with all those UDID's?
Apple really ought to give each developer a UUID and then instead of exposing my device's UUID, expose the hash of both IDs combined. That would preserve the book keeping value of device UUIDs while preventing correlation of IDs between parties.
The conclusion of that post is "It's not yet clear if the released push tokens can be used in any manner." so it is just the usual "must post about something happening on the internet even if I have nothing to contribute".
