As much as I detest this, I do give them some props on the transparency. They had to know this would not go over well, yet they announced it ahead of time. Maybe just a risk calculation to head off uproar at rollout time, but regardless this is a debate that has been inevitable, and is probably already rolled out in places we wouldn't expect
