Google, guardian of the internet, just got pickpocketed through someone else's jacket.
ShinyHunters did not even hack Google directly, they just walked in through Salesforce while whistling.
Kinda funny, honestly. Intelligence article from early June, “here’s a sophisticated Salesforce phishing attack we’ve been seeing, here are the details so you don’t get caught”, with an update added two months later, “oh yeah, forgot to mention, they got us back in June”.
It's a bit overblown. The Salesforce CRM data and it was public information about busineses: “basic and largely publicly available business information, such as business names and contact details.”
