ASK HN : How non-US co-founder can enter a YC company as cofounder?

I was wondering how non-US co-founders manage to enter US when forming YC companies. Can any of the foreign YC company co-founders indicate how this process works? (I believe YC has funded couple of such companies, hence the question). Thanks
