Ask HN : How non-US co-founder can enter a YC company as cofounder?

I was wondering how non-US co-founders manage to enter US when forming YC companies. Can any of the foreign YC company co-founders indicate how this process works? (I believe YC has funded couple of such companies, hence the question). Thanks. (Sorry about the repeat question, looks like somehow it was missed yesterday).
