We now have a government not just picking winners for the benefit of political friends, we have them putting taxpayer funds into these companies. It's just government for the benefit of the executive branch's friends at this point.
It's good that the US federal government is picking winners in various markets. That simplifies things. No messy marketplace, and it's good for the oligarchs.
