Show HN: Meowgic.art – AI-powered fun pet portraits (instantly in browser) (meowgic.art)
I built it because I wanted an easy, fun way to celebrate pets creatively—without wrestling with Photoshop. I’d upload Mine, tweak a prompt (“add stylish shades and a holiday hat”), and within seconds have a high-res image ready to download.
Under the hood, Meowgic.art uses an AI image-edit API (Gemini-based “Nano Banana”) with minimal latency and native watermarking for safe sharing. The site is vanilla React + Node.js; the editing pipeline handles prompt templates and composition logic server-side to maintain consistency across styles and multiple subjects (like pet + owner collages).
What makes it different:
A collection of preset prompts curated for playful or artistic styles
Live editing in the browser—no signup, no email required for launch day
Flexible prompt logic: keep pets recognizable even when changing props, style, or background
I’m sharing it here because I’d love feedback from fellow hackers: Does the UI feel intuitive? Any style modes you think are missing? How about pricing flow or batch workflows?
Thanks for looking!

(Also: what is this besides a wrapper for Gemini that adds a watermark?)
