Be forewarned, there isn't much novel in the "solutions" category in the article. That's often why I read articles on procrastination, hoping maybe some solution will click.

I posted this because I found the "tax" concept and related strongly aligns with my perceived experience of procrastination and it's interaction with willpower. I also found the various reasons why one might procrastinate, "Taxum", also align well with my experience.

In particular, I find that I'm generally a very critical thinker in the sense that my internal wiring seems to hyper focus on reasons and possibilities something might not work. Combine that with a generally melancholy disposition that leans towards "nothing really matters" and I find that there are plenty of Taxums to help fuel my procrastination.
