Ask HN: What's going on at Mozilla?

Just got an email about a survey education tech, last week emails about how they are suing some people over privacy I guess, etc.

I know the spun off Thunderbird (sort of?) and expected the same to be done for other products.

I'm confused, does anyone know what direction they are going?
