ZeroFS: Turn S3 into a Real, High-Performance Filesystem (NFS/9P/NBD, No FUSE) (github.com)

My FUSE setup with https://github.com/yandex-cloud/geesefs is fast so I'm typically happy with it, except the timeouts. Looks like that may not be solved here either https://github.com/Barre/ZeroFS/issues/143 but I'm glad to see some priority on it.
