Yeah, that's not gonna happen.

Hamas is not going to agree to banish itself. You would need to set up an alternative Palestinian government, and make this agreement with them.

The 'international Board of Peace, headed by Donald Trump' is an ego trip, not a serious proposal. So is the economic development plan. The Gazans don't want to be colonized by the US any more than they want to be colonized by Israel.

It's hard to imagine that they consulted with anybody who knows anything about the Palestinians on this. It's not even clear that the goal is anything other than having the Palestinians reject it, so they can be blamed.

I hope I'm wrong about that. Some basic parts of the plan are reasonable -- phased cessation of hostilities for exchange of prisoners and bodies. Everything about the last two years has been so horrific that practically anything is an improvement. But it requires more trust from the Palestinians than this plan inspires.

The 'ceasefire now' 'whatever it takes to stop this' crowd suddenly got very picky about what 'ceasefire now whatever it takes' means.
