I have seen that method in work in one of large corporate companies here. :)
A meaningless, but "important" "manager" tries to orchestrate a public meeting to show off your work to force you to make the deadline.
I have been too short there to evaluate whether it works or not.
Thanks! That's not the positive use I have in mind here, where a manager has a real need and uses a demo to focus the work. Does that ever happen at your large corporate?
