ASK HN: How to Make Connections?

Hi, I am trying everything possible to create a genuine connection, but I'm unable to. I post on social media, Reddit, message on YC, and more. But still not able to make. Like Most of the people never respond. What should I do? I am making my startup in finance, so I need connections in order to do things further.
