We are pretty obviously in a 2nd Cold War.

Given the concern with excessive wealth and inequality that HN has, "Gilded Age 2.0" or "Gilded Age dot com" would probably fit.

We are certainly in a live cyberwar.

Given the increasing use of computer versus computer, and now AI versus AI, I'd venture to say that we are heavily into live re-runs of StarTrek and Twilight Zone.

Just hoping that the computers don't decide that humans are basically useless and annihilate us for the LulZ. Or turn us into batteries.
