How high are OpenAI's compute costs? Possibly a lot higher than we thought (ft.com)

Under current conditions, it's not possible to know the real cost. With venture capital being dumped into their laps, even OpenAI may not have a good handle on this.

This will be determined and revealed later --- after you have incorporated OpenAI into your workflow. But I'd bet that it will be more than most expect.
