Interesting, from the thread I learned that Apple have removed "advanced data protection" in UK [1]. I think, is is available even in Russia, but not in UK. That's why you cannot rely on commercial companies protecting your data - they are always ok with negotiating secret deals behind the closed doors. The only ones who are on your side are unpaid open-source volunteer developers.

Apple never removed adp, the usg stepped in and came to an agreement with the uk govt.
How are you drawing that conclusion? Apple elected to publicly withdraw the entire feature from the country rather than negotiate a secret deal behind closed doors.

The blame here is with the UK Government, not Apple.
