Show HN: A simple, open-source screen-time manager for Windows parents (github.com)
I built a small open-source app to help parents manage screen time on Windows. My kid needed screen time control but I did not want to use Google Link or create a separate child account or install some software. I wanted something local, simple, and transparent.
This tool allows parents to:
- Define allowed screen-time windows - Automatically lock the session when time is up - Run entirely locally (no cloud, no account, no installation required) - Be controlled via Telegram
It’s written as a lightweight Windows app and is intentionally minimal. The goal was reliability and clarity rather than feature depth.
Happy to answer any questions. Contributions welcome.
