I'll say it again: Internet drama that's designed to drive hits to two social media sites and is devoid of any technical discussion - the reality television of the Internet.

Keep this garbage off HN.

Lots of Reddit fans flagging these articles... no surprise. A huge Reddit story revolving around online anonymity is certainly newsworthy. Great article. Certainly more newsworthy than sodas + teeth.
When I saw folks flagging this story, the soda/sugar/teeth story was exactly what I thought of. This story has far more to do with tech than basic dentistry writeups.
HN Guidelines:

> What to Submit

>On-Topic: Anything that good hackers would find interesting. That includes more than hacking and startups. If you had to reduce it to a sentence, the answer might be: anything that gratifies one's intellectual curiosity.

The teeth / soda thing is mildly interesting because the science isn't great.

>Off-Topic: Most stories about politics, or crime, or sports, unless they're evidence of some interesting new phenomenon. Videos of pratfalls or disasters, or cute animal pictures. If they'd cover it on TV news, it's probably off-topic.

Prattle about some Internet user on some website is shallowly, but intensely, interesting.

And furthermore, one with direct relevance to YC and its alumni.
