End of 2026 the current cheapest support plan ("Developer plan") will stop https://aws.amazon.com/premiumsupport/plans/developers/

the cheapest will cost about 3 times more, so we're reevaluating our entire AWS budget as a result

RI 3-year upfronts apply 3% (raising up to 9%) to full prepaid in month 1 (with no money back if you cancel support even the month after): this hits budget
