Weird enough, they never asked Anthropic or Meta to do the same and restart the model training from scratch
I'm glad Anna's Archive, like sci-hub before, is hosted in the free world (A.K.A. the former Eastern block) so it can escape copyreich oppression and allow us all to access human knowledge and culture.

I think it's a bit amazing and a bit embarrassing that western culture is being kept out of a kind of dark ages[2] by ex soviets, of all people.
