Ask HN: Should I make the switch to a Mac?

I've been contemplating buying a 13" Macbook Pro for a while now. I do all my development on a Windows laptop, and everything works well enough. It just seems like most of the tools and tech are geared towards a mac/linux environment with windows being more of an afterthought. Plus, I've never owned a mac before so it would be a good learning experience/exposure for me. But, the cost... Oh lord, the cost. It seems hard to justify paying that much more for a laptop.

What do you guys think? Is it worth it? How does Windows play running in a dual boot situation? Any feedback is welcome.
