sift scores HN threads by the quality of their discussion, not vote count. It looks for depth (comments at 3+ levels), practitioner markers (experience phrases, code blocks, specific tool names), author diversity, and reference density. Threads that are mostly flames or pile-ons get filtered out.

Updated 4x/day. Shows 6 above the fold, rest behind a tap. Yesterday's picks are gone — no archive, no backlog.
