Hey HN, I'm one of the two founders of Cortier.

We built a personal AI assistant that runs as a persistent process per user, rather than a stateless chat session.

A few things that differentiate it:

1. Persistent memory across all conversations — tell it something once 2. Proactive behavior — it monitors your calendar, detects conflicts, and reaches out when relevant 3. Autonomous reflection — it generates its own thoughts between conversations and surfaces them in a private feed ("Moments") 4. Full data isolation — each user gets their own machine and volume

Two-person team. We used Cortier itself to help build Cortier — it did research, helped design systems, and reviewed decisions throughout.
