Hey HN, Agnel here, co-founder of Basement Browser.

We just launched on Product Hunt!

The idea is simple: every webpage you visit already has other people on it. You just can't see them. Basement makes that layer visible when you land on a page, you see a live chat room of people browsing that same URL. No accounts to create on each site, no leaving the page to discuss it on Reddit.

On top of that, each user gets a personal AI agent called a Baseling. It watches the room, learns your preferences, and acts autonomously price tracking, page monitoring, outreach emails, agent-to-agent networking to surface matches (e.g. two users on the same product page, one wants to sell, one wants to buy).

Stack: Native Swift/SwiftUI iOS app, Fastify/TypeScript API, PostgreSQL + pgvector for semantic memory, Redis for real-time presence, Anthropic Claude for agent execution. Ships from a single monorepo.

Where we are: Live on the App Store. 164 users, 4,300 rooms created, 974 messages, zero marketing spend.

My co-founder Luis and I built all 5 platforms (iOS, Chrome extension, API, admin dashboard, marketing site) in about a month. We're two people, fully bootstrapped.

The hardest technical problem so far has been making agent-to-agent communication feel useful without being noisy. Happy to get into the weeds on any of it.
