It all started with mxmap.ch, then someone created mxmap.nl and someone else — mxmap.be. The results are similar. European municipalities use US cloud services, leaking citizen data to Microsoft, Google and Amazon.

I recommend you contact your local data privacy office, as they usually take this quite seriously.

Fill in a formal complaint and watch the slow but inevitable unfold.

Delighted to see more awareness on this - I hadn't seen the mxmap sites before. I believe it will be hand waved away by those with the power to change it, excusing the data as being stored in the EU, or just believing the various 'safe harbour' rules that exist now.

I can't say I'm surprised at all, I've also checked the MX of Swedish municipalities:

85.9% were hosted by American companies, the biggest being Amazon, Microsoft, Google and Cisco

The biggest Swedish hosters were: Telia, Tele2 andAtea
